As usual, my blog posts are dreadfully behind.. I can only say that I have been on the run, moving fast through several countries, enjoying people, places, roads, oceans, jungles, deserts... etc etc etc.
I have so much writing to catch up on and I hope to have time off from the road shortly to do so..
In the meantime, I am in Chile!! If you follow us on facebook, you might have seen that I have been with the Husaberg Adventure Team for the last 3 weeks. The goal was for a world record to ride a motorcycle to the highest recorded altitude.. and they were successful! The boys accomplished their goal and got their Husaberg to 6361 meters (20,870 feet)!
In the meantime, they managed to urge me to a women's world record as well. I also rode the Husaberg accompanied by Walter Colebatch, Barton Churchill and Lukas Matzinger to 5,903 meters (19,367 ft). The most difficult ride I have ever done, it still shocks me that I made it. But one thing I can say is that whenever I encounter Colebatch, he manages to get me to do things I would never imagine I could do, just as we did in Russia at the beginning of this journey! (The Because I Can! World Tour.. still lives!)
Since I have so much blogging to catch up on, you can read about the latest adventure and much more current posts on the Husaberg Adventure Team website here: http://www.andesmotoextreme.com/
Lots of great photos there and a little peak of what I have been up to in Chile.
Thanks for following, thanks for your patience. I have received several messages asking for my updates and I quite honestly have been loving my life more than sitting in front of the computer. Shortly I intend on taking a break from the road just to catch up as much as I can.
Talk soon and Saludos desde Chile!
SJ ;-)
